Getting started

Overview

Connecting Realpage and Banner is done through a Realpage web services user. Web services users are assigned unique credentials - usernames and passwords, API keys, or tokens - to authenticate and authorize access to the web service. These credentials keep communication between the two systems secure and protect the integrity of your data.

Every Realpage connection follows the same five steps:

  1. Confirm marketplace access. Verify you hold the Integration Manager role.
  2. Create the role. Add a Banner web service role under Company > Users > Roles.
  3. Configure subscriptions. Grant General Ledger and Accounts Payable, including Journal Entries.
  4. Create the web service user. Add the Banner user, assign the role, and scope entities.
  5. Hand off to Banner.

Before you start

You need the Integration Manager role and access to the Integration Marketplace in the Core center to manage subscriptions. If you do not have it, contact your Realpage Administrator.

For permission inquiries, submit a support ticket through the Client Portal and select Realpage Exchange in the product dropdown.

Setup

Step 1 Install Banner Realpage App
